1984
Jacques Lefebvre acquires his first factory in the Montreal area, operating under the name “Sacs Champlain.
Foundation of Groupe Frontenac by Jacques Lefebvre.
1986
1990
Purchase of a new production line and establishment of a second plant in Trois-Rivières.
Acquisition of the Cascades Group’s Paper Bag division.
1996
2000
Groupe Frontenac starts developing new markets and regions and exporting its products to the United States.
It’s the start of a new era for Groupe Frontenac with the construction of a new plant in Trois-Rivières and an investment of over $20M in acquiring new high-tech production lines. This investment allowed the company to diversify its products and grow its market share.

Groupe Frontenac has two production plants, employs more than 100 people, has a distribution network spanning North America and enjoys sustained growth.
